You may speak on any topic that you choose — job-related, MSC-related, public policy, or otherwise — but you must speak in an effort to persuade your audiences of a new policy, initiative or belief. Those audiences will be any that you choose, though you should let me know, on the video, the identity of these folks before you begin speaking.
Your speech should be written, in its entirety. You may opt to deviate from that script occasionally when speaking, but you must upload a written, final product for assessment. Please try to use the strategies and tactics that we have discussed:
(1) visualize the audiences and situation and make choices about message/meaning;
(2) be organized, employ crisp, conversational language, use imagery (as you see fit) and let the speech reveal you;
(3) employ the persuasive tactics that we’ve discussed; and
(4) deliver with both conviction and connection. Most of all, enjoy this process!
