Annotated Bibliographies

For articles to count, they must be academic, peer-reviewed journal articles.

No theses, dissertations, book reviews, reports, blogs, or newspaper articles (but can be supplementary).

Unless you have gotten my approval, articles must be within the last 10 years.

The articles must be relevant to your project.

Cite in ASA, APA, or MLA format (be consistent).

The section on annotated bibliographies needs to begin with a paragraph introducing us to the main themes you found through your literature search.

The annotations should be organized thematically.

Annotated Bibliographies must answer all these questions in detail:

◦1) What is the topic?

◦2) What is the purpose/what are the research questions?

◦3) What is the research design and methods?

◦4) What theoretical frameworks does the author draw from?

◦5) What are the main findings?

◦6) What is the author(s)’s argument?

◦7) How does it contribute to your research project? (be specific)
