HCA 610 Week 3 Case Study

All questions provided in the case study should be addressed in the narrative. Please support your analysis with a minimum of two peer-reviewed sources. This assignment is due by Sunday 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) of this week.In late 2019 into 2020, a novel Coronavirus disease (commonly known as COVID-19) spread from Wuhan, China to most countries on the globe. Many local, state, and national governments instituted social distancing, sheltering-in-place, and other precautions such as shutting down non-essential business in order to limit community-acquired new diagnoses of the virus. These policies, in the United States, were primarily instituted with the goal of controlling the rate at which the infection spread, as opposed elimination of the virus, as to not overwhelm the limited resources of the healthcare system.
Research the policies implemented by a branch of government in the U.S. (local, state, or federal) and compare them to the policies that were implemented in other countries of the world.
Identify at least one positive and one negative aspect of how the U.S. handled the situation. In the discussion on the negative aspect, suggest an alternative approach and how it may have changed the outcome.
